NEW BABY! Olivia Rose Short was born to Wil and Nicole Short on February 9, 2026. She is the granddaughter of Wendy and Lee Short and the great-granddaughter of Vivian and Macey Paynter. Olivia is the first child for Wil and Nicole, first grandchild for Wendy and Lee, and first great-grandchild for Vivian and Macey! Our congratulations to everyone!
GIRL SCOUTS COOKIE SALE: Once again, Girl Scout Troop #2314, which is sponsored by Wesley Memorial and meets here at the church, is selling Girl Scout Cookies, and a cookie order form is in the narthex of the church for your convenience. Please support this important project!
ASH WEDNESDAY OBSERVANCE: An Ash Wednesday service of the Imposition of Ashes will be held at Wesley Memorial UMC on Wednesday, February 18. The opening service will be at 11:30 a.m. in the church sanctuary and will be followed by a Drive-By Ash Wednesday opportunity, 12 noon-2 p.m.
LENTEN STUDY: During the season of Lent, February 22 - March 29, 2026 Ray Gooch will be leading a study each Sunday morning on the gospel lesson for that Sunday, 9:30 - 10:15ish. There is a study guide in the narthex for the season. All you need is a Bible and the study guide. All are welcome to join on any and all Sundays you are available.
LENTEN DEVOTIONS: Beginning Wednesday, February 18, churches in cooperation with Warren Ministries United will host Lenten Devotions each Wednesday at 12 noon. You are invited to attend, and if you like, bring a bag lunch. The host church will provide beverages and dessert. The schedule for devotions is: Feb. 18, Solitude Retreat Center; Feb. 25, Wesley Memorial UMC; March 4, Jerusalem Global Methodist; March 11, Warrenton Church of God; March 18, Oak Chapel AME; March 25, Warrenton Missionary Baptist; April 1, Cooks Chapel Baptist.
